I had a lovely weekend at a conference down in Nelson. I had to catch the Inter-islander Ferry as Nelson is at the top of the South Island and I live in Wellington at the bottom on the North Island.

The crossing was beautiful. Sunny and calm! The view from the deck was breathtaking as we wove through the sounds.

I spent a lot of the three hour crossing looking at the scenery but I also had time to read Julia London's  The Seduction of Lady X which I thoroughly enjoyed.
