Tell your happy ending story!

The Happy Endings Giveaway Hop was organized by Reading Romances!

Hello and welcome to the Happy Endings giveaway hop online! I’m a proud romance author so of course I LOVE the Happy Ever After ending.

I’ve yet to find anyone who doesn’t like a happy ending. You might like endings that leave you asking questions, or endings that leave you hanging on for the next instalment, or endings that shock or make you cry. However, most people enjoy a happy ending. It's simply human nature. We all want to be happy.

towagerthemarquiso120x180My favourite happy endings are when the characters face real adversary in their personal or working lives, or outwit the evil villain, or learn about themselves and grow a back bone, or overcome financial or health issues. For example one of my favorite stories since I was a young girl is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. In terms of romance books, one of my all time favorite happy endings would be in my second book in the Wicked Wagers Trilogy, To Wager the Marquis of Wolverstone (which is currently FREE on Amazon).

Sabine, the heroine, has returned home after ten years to ask her hearts desire, Marcus Danvers, the Marquis of Wolverstone for help. He has no idea why she left and when he finds out -the truth is too terrible to face. They do find their way back to each other and it's quite poignant.

Speaking of finding their way back to each other, my latest contemporary romance release, THE RELUCTANT WIFE. Abby and Dante have two separate hurdles to overcome – both pretty serious conditions that they hide from one another for various reasons. I love that they both act this way in order to protect the other. That what they do they do out of love.

Want to know the what, where, why and how? You’ll have to read their story!

Abby Taylor walked out on her irresistible husband three years ago. Now she has no choice but to return to Italy to ask him for a favor. To pay for her grandmother's heart operation she the-reluctant-wife-300x200needs his money, but it comes with strings attached.

Conte Dante Lombardi has it all—an Italian villa, a successful family business, and a noble title. But he needs a child to carry on his legacy and time is running out. He also hopes to satisfy the desire Abby rouses in him.

As Abby uncovers why he’s in such a hurry for a child, she falls in love with him again … just as she realizes it might be impossible to keep her end of the deal.

...an intense, passionate rollercoaster of a love story—just perfect!

- USA TODAY bestselling author Natalie Anderson

Actually it doesn't matter whether the ending is happy or sad, more important if it's strong enough, well written.. Epilogues..not a big fan :D

I do love epilogues, especially if it is a standalone book with no continuing story.

Hi Susan. I really love a good series. I love to set up the next book in the epilogue.

Sometimes I like epilogues, but I prefer to just have the happy ending. I sort of feel cheated when they flash forward a year or so to the birth of a child....I would have like to have read what happened before.

How interesting. Isn't it funny what we readers like and don't like. A fellow NZ author who writes contemporaries got a lot of feedback from readers asking for epilogues. Sometimes, as an author, it's hard to know what to do!

One of the reasons why I love reading romance novels is that the HEA is guaranteed. It reminds me that, no matter what, everything will be alright in the end. :-)

Love prologues and epilogues as they provide extra information about the hero/heroine.

That's what I love too. The fact I know I can escape from the world, where life is not always fair, and be happy!

Epilogues are okay if used sparingly...I prefer a clear-cut happy ending!

Good on you! You know what you like. I don't think there is ay wrong or right answer to epilogue or not to epilogue. It's the way the author handles the story.

As long as the HEA or epilogue don't get too sappy or cheesy, I'm fine with them :-)

You're so right. I've just read a contemporary which was very well written but the story was so slow but you know what - I had to keep reading as I wanted to see the couple finally get together. The power of good writing and good characters meant the slowness didn't stop me reading...

I love the word invested! You're so right. I love an author, and thank her for writing a series when I find I want to read her complete series so I can enjoy the cast of characters even more.

I like both... I like the happy endings straight forward but i also like when you truly get to know the characters and a story leaves happy with how things turn out... sometimes it is not all sunshine and roses at the end of the story and thats ok with as long as the book is a good read.

I love happy endings because they let me know that the journey not only for the couple but me as the reader was worth it! I don't want to invest my time in a book that is going to have a frustrating ending, lol. I like HEAs!

I don't always like epilogues at the end of books. I do if they contribute by telling me something like the couple having their first child or a glimpse of their marriage. But if it's something them eating pizza and cuddling up on the couch with a corny line to fade out.. Um.. I could have lived without that??? So~ I like them if they bring something new to the table of the HEA!

Thank you for the lovely giveaway~

I like a happy ending for the character who truly deserves it. I like it to come not too quick but gradually. In order for someone to appreciate something, one should have waited patiently and worked hard for that thing and I like reading about character development first before reading that he or she gets what he or she has been hoping for. Sigh. XD

I just want a satisfactory, well-deserved happy ending. Epilogues can be great, or they can be anti-climactic. Generally, I like them.

I do love epilogues! I love knowing that even after the main part of the story is over that we get another small glimpse into the character's future and that they are still living their happily ever after.

I actually prefer epilogues. Happy endings are sometimes so predictable and unrealistic that they get old after awhile!

Thanks so much for the great giveaway,

I look for a believable HEA for the hero and heroine. I love epilogues, especially ones that give a peak into the hero and heroines lives several years down the road.
