The holiday season is a special time of year for everyone in New Zealand. It’s the start of our summer, and the beginning of the school holiday period. Schools are closed from mid-December through to the beginning of February, and most families go away to the beach or camping or hiking. It’s quality family time.

This Christmas I’ll be spending it with my extended family at our mother’s house. We usually have a barbeque in the sunshine, but this year it’s likely to be roast turkey and ham, as my mother won two turkeys and one ham, so I think we’re covered! I’m in charge of dessert and I always make my favorite desserts – pavlova with strawberries and cream and Hokey Pokey Cheesecake (the recipes can be downloaded here. If you try them let me know how they turn out.)

But I’ll be celebrating for a completely different reason this holiday season. Its extra special because on 17 December 2012 my first contemporary romance, and my first book with Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence line, is released. The Reluctant Wife is Amy Taylor and Conte Dante Lombardi’s story.
