Introducing Bronwen Evans

I'm a proud reader and writer of Romance! Any romance, but historical romance in particular, and the Regency period is my favorite. Not the most politically correct reading material for the ex-Chief Executive Officer of a New Zealand publicly listed company. Currently I work part-time, leaving my afternoons free to indulge in my passion for writing.

That's right; I have gone from the board room to the - no room at all. With laptops you can write anywhere and for a while, when I was still working in the corporate world, I did just that. Every lunch hour was spent at the coffee shop around the corner (thank you Robert Harris) losing myself in the Regency world.

The rich playboy who just happens to be Lord of the realm, with the, ahead of their time feminist, who bucks Society's conventions and gives the hero a run for his money.

In particular, I love the dark, tortured souls, who don't think they deserve love or are, like most men today, scared of love. Most of my heroes are strong, alpha males with tortured pasts. They need the love of a good woman to save them and my heroine's are up for the task. They are not, sit back and let men run their lives, women. They grab life, shake it, and mold it and most of all never give up.

And of course lets not forget the villains. Creepy, very dangerous, often perverted but never undefeatable.

I have been writing for just over four years and have completed two manuscripts in my Lord of… series, Lord of Wicked (Published title to be Invitation to Ruin), Lord of Danger, with the third story, Lord of Addiction half completed. I have just accepted a two book deal with Kensington Publishing, with my first book Invitation to Ruin due on the shelves February 2011!

I belong to RWA and RWNZ and when not working, reading or writing, I enjoy hiking, golf and movies.
